ABOUT ME

I was born and grew up in North London where I studied at The Hornsey College of Art, and now live in Brighton. I love the creative vibe of the place and it has provided me with plenty of inspiration.

I have shown my work all over the world, from Bergen in Norway to London, Paris, Berlin and Sydney.

I paint mostly in oils on canvas, but also work in watercolour and in coloured pencil

My figurative work mainly concentrates on the male figure, and I enjoy portraying people with a larger, heavy set physique, although this isn't set in stone!

I work on portraits in both oils and also coloured pencil. These can be produced on commission and make a great gift for a special occasion such as an anniversary or birthday, and obviously double portraits are very popular with couples.

You can sit for a portrait in person - takes about three or four 2 hour sittings, or I can work from photographs. So even if you live on the other side of the planet a portrait is still possible.

A finished drawing in coloured pencil usually takes a couple of days, and one in A4 size unframed costs £200.

A portrait in oils, unframed will take more time, plus more expensive materials, and a painting of approx size 80cm x 60cm would cost from £600 to £800 depending on complexity.

You will be kept up to date by email with photos on the progress of your portrait, and finished works can be framed if required.
